Wish they had a bit longer rehearsal process. Worked on both a new show and revival there. Love that they are wanting to produce new works but it distance from Chicago doesn't allow them to be as adventurous as they could be with a younger audience. Both times they have gone out of there way to make the experience a good one. Even as the theatres location can be a bit isolating. But I would work here anytime!

Marriott used to have the top locally produced musical theatre productions in the Chicago area. Not any more due to a combination of producers that stymie creativity, and the strong growth elsewhere by producers like Drury Lane Oakbrook.
  • It really depends on the show. I had a pretty good time overall. The bureaucracy is a little stifling in the rehearsal and tech process, but once the show is up and running, it's a nice gig.
